On Saturday I decided to treat the young people to breakfast, since they were content with cereal and fruit all week. So after we had loaded up and cleaned up, we departed the beautiful place we called home all week, and landed at a local IHOP.
Of course the morning flew by, and we returned our rental cars and checked our bags. Everything was smooth and on time (with the exception of a little turbulence on our second flight). We had heard last night that Miss Leslie Cross would be on our same flight from Denver, so we kept our eyes open for her, and indeed we met up, and were able to enjoy the flight home together.
Bro. Jimenez graciously agreed to pick us up, and after a long, hard, but wonderful week, were excited to return home, see our families, and be back in our own mission field. I pray that this week our teens learned some valuable lessons that they will never forget. The trip was fun, but it was not about the mountains or historic Tombstone. It was about the work of God, spreading the gospel, planting churches, and learning to be a servant! As much servanthood was learned among ourselves as among the community. I hope that each of us will incorporate these life lessons to a point that they become second-nature to us. I know that the Lord has great things in store for these teens, for the rest of the young people at Faith, and for our entire church. May we each learn to be a servant to each other, and to remember that spreading the gospel of Christ is our primary purpose upon this earth!
I Cor. 9:19 “For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.”
